Permutazione Studies / gum prints on Hahnemühle paper / various dimentions / 2019
During the exhibition Deriva at the Basilica of San Celso in Milan this work was temporarily printed on various pieces of marble from the back of the church. The work, of which the studies on paper have remained, was created thanks to a play of light and shadow that could be seen inside the oculus of the central altar. The fragmentation of the stones arranged on the ground recalls the theme of migrants in the context of the contemporary Mediterranean, the central theme of the exhibition.
Durante la mostra Deriva alla Basilica di San Celso a Milano questo lavoro è stato stampato in maniera temporanea su diversi pezzi di marmo provenienti dal retro della chiesa. Il lavoro, di cui sono rimasti gli studi su carta, è stato creato grazie ad un gioco di luci e ombre che si potevano scorgere all’interno dell’oculo dell’altare centrale. La frammentazione delle pietre disposte a terra richiama il tema dei migranti nel contesto del mediterraneo contemporaneo, tema centrale della mostra.
